Page 1 - Two sets of pictures are displayed here.  The top set are the photographer's first pictures of racing dinghies taken during the Richmond Yacht Club 2005 Small Boat Mid Winter Regatta.  The second set of pictures are of the Richmond Yacht Club 2007 Small Boat Mid Winter Regatta. 

 


Page 2 - The "Little Daddy" Regatta in January 2007.  This is a Regatta for teen agers from all over Northern California competing in Club Flying Junior racing dinghies.

 


Page 3 - The "Big Daddy" Regatta, March 2007 for medium and large keel boats.  Hosted each year by the Richmond Yacht Club in San Francisco Bay.

 


Page 4 - The "Totally Dinghy" Regatta, September 2007.  You will find the following dinghies: 29er,  Banshee, Byte CII, Contender, El Toro, Flying Dutchman, I-14, International Canoe,  Laser, Lightning, Optimist, Wabbit, Windmill.




Page 5 - The 2008 "Little Daddy" Regatta - same as page 2 but a year later.





Page 6a - The 2008 Richmond Yacht Club Small Boat Midwinters.  Some of the boats you will see competing in this Regatta are:  29er, 420, 505, Banshee, Byte CII, Day Sailor, Finn, Flying Dutchman, Flying Junior,  I14, International Canoe, Laser, Snipe, Wabbit.

 


Page 6b - The second page of the 2008 Small Boat Midwinters.  You will see the same racing dinghies here as noted above for Page 6a. 

 


Page 7 - The March, 2008 "Big Daddy" Regatta for medium and large keel boats.  This page has some spectacular spinnaker shots (even if I say so, myself!).

 


Page 8 - August, 2010 - 18 ft. Skiff Regatta sponsored by St. Francis Yacht Club.  Race course is along the San Francisco city front in winds up to 20 knots.  These boats are really fast and exciting to watch.

 


Page 9 - September, 2010 - the annual Totally Dinghy Regatta sponsored by the Richmond Yacht Club.  Racing in this regatta are an assortment of catamarans, Finns, Contenders, Lasers, Flying Dutchman, Lightnings, Wabbits and a few other miscellaneous classes.

 


Page 10 - October, 2010 - The Great Pumpkin Regatta sponsored by the Richmond Yacht Club.  Racing in this regatta are an assortment of medium and large keel boats and catamarans, The Regatta was held on Saturday and Sunday, October 30th and 31st with a Haloween theme.  These pictures were taken on Sunday which was a pursuit race around Angel Island and Yerba Buena/Treasure Island.

 


Photo Page 11Page 11 - February, 2011 - Mid Winter Regatta sponsored by the Richmond Yacht Club for racing dinghies and small keelboats.  Racing in the Regatta are I-14's, Hobie Catamarans, Weta Trimarans, Lightnings, Snipes, Lasers, U-20's and many other classes.

 


Page 12 - August, 2011 - 7th annual Dinghy Delta Ditch Regatta sponsored by the Lake Washington Sailing Club in Sacramento, Calif. A 30 mile race from Rio Vista up the deep water shipping channel (accessed from the Sacramento River above Rio Vista) to the Sailing Club.
